Primary teacher training (ages 5-11)

Our expertise of running a SCITT, coupled with the outstanding primary practice of Lark Rise Academy, Parkfields Middle School and the Acorn Teaching School Alliance, provides an exciting opportunity for potential primary teachers based around the M1 corridor to train locally.

My experience of the School Direct Teacher Training at Lark Rise Academy was an amazing one. The support from all staff members was brilliant and I was made to feel part of the team from day one. I had weekly meetings with my Teacher Mentor, where we thoroughly discussed my weekly targets, and regular meetings with my Professional Mentor where we discussed my progress in becoming a teacher.

Trainees will have training from age 5 - 11 years, in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
